Employability Skills Workshops

Employability Skills Workshops give you a chance to deliver your business skills to 14-16 year old students over the course of a school morning.

Each workshop is run jointly by a teacher and a business volunteer, and is designed to deliver a framework of enterprise-related activities. There are several activities, including a short written section and a team-building exercise.

The event ends with the 'Apprentice's Challenge', where students create and market their own product in order to demonstrate their understanding of the skills they have picked up.

As a business volunteer in an Employability Skills Workshop, your role is to:

  • Raise awareness of the skills and competencies required in your workplace (and workplaces generally)
  • Provide business-related advice to the students
  • Judge (as part of a panel of business volunteers) the 'Apprentice's Challenge' competition at the end of the event

If you wish to get involved or view more information, s
