Work Experience
One of CEBP's most important roles is finding and securing work experience placements for students aged 14-18. Each year we support over 4,000 of them.
Nothing teaches a student the ways of work better than a spell in the workplace doing a real job. It gives them a much-improved perspective on business culture and a practical insight into the kind of employment skills they require.
Using our extensive network of commercial contacts - we call them our business partners - CEBP can arrange or support a two week work experience placement for any Croydon student.
This could be in one of the borough's many private sector companies, in public sector organisations such as Croydon Council or UK Border Agency, or in the so-called third sector, one of the increasing number of voluntary organisations.
CEBP also supports the work experience process by providing a team of pre-placement visitors who deal with issues such as health & safety, risk assessment, job descriptions and child protection when vetting placements and WebView, an internet portal, providing a work experience management system for both schools and students.
Please contact our work experience team if you wish to arrange placements for your students, or view our Work Experience leaflet for more details.
